A promotional Ditto Pokémon card, recently distributed for free at a special event in Seoul, South Korea, is attracting significant attention online with resale prices soaring above $60.

This limited-edition card was gifted to attendees of the Metamong Project, a Ditto-themed celebration held at Lotte World Tower & Mall from April 25 to May 18.

The card features unique gameplay mechanics and charming artwork that showcases Ditto imitating several popular Pokémon, including Pikachu and Lapras.

The art itself seems to reference a larger visual element of the event: a whimsical return of the Pikachu-on-Lapras float from the first Pokémon Town event in 2024,

Visitors to the 2025 event can still claim the card by participating in various activities — such as finding QR codes around the venue.

The event also features a Ditto-themed gacha machine, interactive Pokémon Go content, and plenty of life-sized Ditto figures placed throughout the area for fans to enjoy

While the card may not be especially powerful in gameplay terms featuring a basic "Splup" move that deals just 10 damage  it also includes a more useful ability called

"Let’s Swim Together," which allows players to search their deck for three different Basic Pokémon and place them directly onto their Bench.

Considering the card is still being handed out, the current resale value of $50 to $60might seem steep. However, the Pokémon card market has seen similar surprises in the past.

Take, for example, the Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat promo card, which now sells for up to $360 ungraded despite also being a giveaway.
